| CGI | Stands for common gateway interface, which is an interactive language between programs and a web server. |
| CSS | Cascading style sheets are made to specify color, text and link specifications. CSS set formatting standards in the website, as well as defining other importance elements. |

| Hosting | Refers to where a website's information is "parked" online. Dreamhost is a web host. |
| HTML | Short for hypertext mark-up language, it is a specific standard for making webpages |
| JavaScript | Not to be confused with the Java programming language, JavaScript enables the use of programming scripts to enhance websites. A JavaScript could be anything from data validation to text effects to calculators -- pretty much anything that will add some spice to your page! |
| PHP | Short for PHP Hypertext Preprocessor. It is a more dynamic way to create websites as well as with interaction with databases. It is one of the top programming languages, and its versitle presence makes websites easier to manage, update and surf. |
| Perl | Stands for Practical Extraction and Reporting Language and is used to program CGI programs |
| URL | Short for uniform resource locator, this is a unique address. www.morningblend.net is a URL. |
